A question about a banning

Can anyone explain how banning works?? I have a good friend on here who seeems to have had a ban - his profile is blocked, he can't post in forums or send emails but he can still use chat?

Is it not the norm to receive a email from a mod or admin explaining why you have been banned and the conditions etc??

he should use the contact button at the bottom of the page to contact admin.

I believe that he should have received a message from admin, no idea why some people don't.

If someone is disabled they can't use anything of the site, but they can normally still enter chat but not chat.

I am not sure people who are disabled get a mail.
