If the Verification symbols were as follows then People could hide their Veris but still show they had met others,
a tick with an M for Verified with a meet
a tick with a C for Cam Verified and a tick with a P for Verified for a Phone call.
Do you think this would help ? |

"no, a hidden verification as good as no verification"
don't agree with that at all. Some don't like to advertise their meets, some might think they that are too graphic for joe public to see. Each to their own IMO |

I do think this would help - when they're hidden you've no idea if they've actually met people or just sit on a webcam all night.
We've had a couple contact us with 7 verifications, all by phone - so yes they are verified but only seem to talk not meet.
Least with your suggestion, although the text would still be hidden we'd still know if they walk the walk or just talk the talk.
(just be careful though, you've now used your good idea quota for this month ) |

What about a system that allows members to choose who sees their verifications either public, private(i.e friends only) or post via message (just like pics can) so if you only want to show prospective meets your verifications you can.
We would like only to show our verifications to people who we are looking for (single males) so single females/couples/tv etc... would not be able to see our verifications and why should they has we have no intention of meeting with them, this should be part of the privacy settings, in our opinion |

Phone 8
could be an option in the manage veris section show the numbers and types of veris for those who dont want to display the text |

people who meet on a regular basis may not like this! who wants a profile with
meet 250
phone 0
cam 0
with the current system you can just choose to show the most up to date verifications and this make the information relevant, you can see when people last met, with your system it may say meet 5 but they could be years old |

No system is going to meet with everyones approval but if there could be a couple of options to choose from people might be more comfortable.
This could be set up with it only displaying the number for the last 12 months.
It doesn't really worry me just thought i'd add a little idea to the forum

Verification are Friends lists are about as much use as tits on a boar pig.
A positive verification does not guarantee that your contact will turn up, or whether you will get on with them as well as the last person they met.
Every arranged meet is something of a "suck it and see" arrangement.
Do you really decide to meet someone just because someone else has met them?

We are looking at options along this line already e.g. even if you don't publish verifications there could be a way to see your verification breakdown on the profile (which will be hideable too for privacy).
