if you see a pic on the site and it is clearly photoshopped then is it something to report? we often see quite a few pics that look as if they have been tampered with but are unsure if it is really something to report?

Yes always worth reporting to let Admin check it out

no probs, we didn't know if admin could act on it? its a hard one for admin to prove but some are terribly obvious, we do bite our tongues and feel like messaging the guilty parties but if admin are happy to look at it then the report option seems safer and less likely to cause arguements

But an subtly/artistically enhanced one is alright - right?

we always think that if a pic is genuine and not had the actual subject messed with then to us its ok!

if someone feels the need to make something look bigger or make something look nothing like it does in real life then its a bit dishonest and makes you wonder what other lies might be told

I agree with that, whats the point of messing with something to make it look different ..."bigger" as an example...that's bound to just lead to disappointment and/or ridicule should there be a meet!!

O o O oo

Artistic is fine as long as you can still see the subject

We have one artsy picture posted that we used an art feature in one of our cameras to create. We also use Photoshop to enhance contrast or maybe to remove a blemish. We agree that you shouldn't put your face on someone else's body. But Some of the photo's on hear are pretty creative. ( A guy surfing on an airplane for example.) It makes the galleries fun.

There's an awful lot of very poorly photoshopped willies on this site

True, but you would have to admit that someone wearing it as a necktie would be hilarious. ( as long as every picture wasn't that way.)

As a transsexual woman I am forced to live with the trope that I am disguising myself as something I am not. If it's obvious to you that something is photoshopped, then it's going to be clear to others. Is anyone seriously taken in by these pictures?

True! And if you are one of those people who believe in reporting something purely for the sake of reporting it, you have a point.

I'm not sure admin would care, unless the person was trying to look like someone else!

Before long we'd be like eBay and HAVE to take pics of ALL our flaws!

I snazz up a lot of mine...mainly because 1, I like messing about with pictures and 2, it helps with my questionable looks....not much, but just a smidge.

ha ha, did you join the thread half way through and not read it all, we are talking about profiles putting dishonest pics on, its not reporting for reportings sake???

the arty side of photoshopping is fine with everyone, its the bit that adds inches or sheds lbs that most people find laughable

No I read the OP which you referred to above:

"if you see a pic on the site and it is clearly photoshopped then is it something to report? we often see quite a few pics that look as if they have been tampered with but are unsure if it is really something to report?"

Can't find the words 'arty' or 'laughable' anywhere there. Do you just make this up as you go along?

read it again, there are a few posts on here that talk of artistic effects ect and the laughable bit is evident when it is mentioned about people finding things hilarious!

so no, its all up there^^^ in the posts above and nothing is being made up as we go along

So it wasn't you who posted the following then:

"we always think that if a pic is genuine and not had the actual subject messed with then to us its ok!

if someone feels the need to make something look bigger or make something look nothing like it does in real life then its a bit dishonest and makes you wonder what other lies might be told"

I was going to point out the obvious inconsistencies in what you are now saying, but I don't really need to do I?

ehhh, what on earth are you rambling on about?? like we said earlier, please read the entire thread, we posted the op and then made regular comments throughout the thread and all state from us that we are happy to see arty effects as long as the main subject is not made to look untruthful!

there has also been quite a few others that have contributed to the thread with very similar views.

then you came along and clearly took something in a different way to everyone else and continued to argue about something that obviously only you can see?? we are happy to talk photoshopping and lots of folk, including admin have posted and the majority of folk can understand the thread,if you think its fine to put fake pics up then that's your choice
