Do admin actually do anything?

When you report a profile do Fab actually do anything?

Have reported two Timewasting, cock teasing couples this weekend. The first had me drive 2 hours before cancelling, the second cancelled with two hours to go after I'd rearranged a family event to meet them.

What I'd like to know is that fab admin actually take these things seriously in an effort to try and keep this site as genuine as possible.

If you're happy to drive two hours for a meet with strangers - it's a risk you'll have to take.

You can do much to minimise the risk - but never be 100% guaranteed.

As for moving family stuff in order to meet? That's your choice. What's more important to you?

What's important to me is having people stick to their word and not mess people around. It gives them a bad name after all.

Your tone suggests you think it's perfectly acceptable to stand people up despite sending you messages confirming it is still on.

Anyway rather than get into an argument with people who seem to think this is my 'tough luck', this was more about asking if admin actually do anything as presumably they can read all private messages?

They cancelled, albeit late by the sound of things but real life can take over and things happen, kids or family taken ill etc. I wouldn't travel more than 30 mins for a meet in case of things like that as it happens.

They only have your side of the story to go on to begin with.

In the faq's it does state that you won't get feedback from admin due to the volume of incidents reported.

Chalk it up to experience and move on rather than spitting venom and bitterness.

They don't just have my side of the story as they have access to everyone's private messages.

But you're right on other things.

Easy to say stick to a radius but as a single guy on here competing with 12 million well hung BBCs it's not that easy, often venturing far is the only option!

True but a lot of meets, including mine, are arranged by text so messages aren't just exchanged on here. Admin don't know why they cancelled and they might of had a valid reason but at least they told you rather than nothing.

If you see getting meets as a competition - then you have to face the fact you'll lose more often than you win.

As for '12 million BBC's' ? Really?

My 'tone' didn't state it was acceptable. If you want guarantees of anything in this lifestyle you're going to be disappointed. As I said - all you can do is minimise risks, and if travel time or expense is an issue - don't do it. Nobody forces people to travel. It's an individuals choice.

As has been said, admin review all reports and decide on any action that may be taken. But you'll never get a reply.

All you can do is live and learn.

I should imagine that a lot of reports go in file 13.

A single time wasting report doesn't mean a lot, it's only when admin sees a trend that I'd imagine they feel they can act.

I don't see it as a competition but let's be honest most on here are looking for gorgeous men with good bodies and huge cocks. That's human nature.

While I don't consider myself from the ugly tree, I certainly don't think I'm all that, not do I have any level of arrogance or confidence that would indicate that.

There fore when a 'nice' couple wish to meet me, a 'nice' chap, for me it's worth the drive.

Some good comments on here. Put it down to experience I guess and it's always good to hear productive responses from genuine swingers with etiquette so thank you.

Sadly cancellations do happen as other stuff gets in the way, we had to cancel once just as the person we were meeting got to the meeting place, and yes it is frustrating but shit happens at times.

We also have a deal that even right up to the point of playing either party can walk away with no questions asked we can....would you want to report that if something like that happened too?

Obviously I don't know what happened in your situation but at least the told you they were cancelling.

Having said that, if you report it to Admin they can see if there is a pattern going on.

I will paste what Admin have said happens to reports onto the next post.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

--

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

All you can do is put it down to experience and maybe try not to get over exited hen people agree to meet. You need to be absolutely possitive that someone would meet before thinking about driving those distances, did you think about asking to meet half way?

Your time was not wasted by the cancellation they did give you 2 hours notice and its not their fault you had made arrangements in fact that wouldn't be any concern of theirs, you said you would meet them so that's your choice.

We all take risks when arranging meets on the internet. We will only travel within a 50 mile radius and only when we have free time.

More importantly we always have a back up plan so that our time can not be wasted.

All you can do is report and persistant offenders will be dealt with.

Good luck

Admin can only do so much. This site provides you all the tools you need to filter out possible fakes and/or time wasters (whatever your definition of a time waster is) but the rest is down you the individual to make sure you're not let down. People do and will cancel, maybe with an excuse or maybe a real valid reason but it happens as there are more important things in life than fab (yes, hard to believe I know!) If you're happy to travel that far and happy to cancel arrangements you already had then you need to make 100% sure they will show and unless its someone you've met before and know well, you can never be that sure.
