Reading through the forums and status messages in my area over the last few weeks has highlighted an issue.
It seems that by and large the most complaints about rude and discourteous members originated with unverified, faceless, textless profiles. This has a knock on effect in the community, as it portrays all members of that gender etc as being that way.
In essence a verified member with pics and profile text can be guilty be association with the faceless arrogant rude members of the same gender/relationship status. Yes I am talking about single guys here... 
My solution is quite simple. Restrict unverified single male profiles number of messages.
If someone makes the effort to get photo verified allow them between 5 or 10 messages a day.
If fully verified then allow unlimited use of site.
I think this would have a really positive effect on the community; would mitigate many problems associated with dreamers and fantasists and raise the happiness level on site a small percentage.
If people want to message an unverified person. The restriction is lifted for cross communication.
I agree that this seems to be harsh on us single guys, but the system demands that we make an effort. Those that don't make an effort not verified/photo verified/textless/pictureless profiles tend to be the ones that think fab is full of free hookers, demanding; impatient; pushy and generally abusive when rejected.
I am sure the genuine single guys out there what things to change as well as couples and singles.

Well judging by the amount of forum complaints and status messages filters are not enough.
Even if I was a single guy just starting out; I would expect to make an effort to "reach" people. If that means getting photo verified and having limited messages (meaning I actually have to put some effort into those messages) then so be it.
Mine would be for people to use their filters to block the people they don't want mail from

Of course filters are enough to stop unwanted mails from certain sections. It has been said before by Admin that they won't be making PV compulsory so I am guessing people might be best using those filters |

Well i think it's a shame that administration won't be doing anything about it. perhaps when the site is comprised of 75% unverified (photo or otherwise) picless textless profiles and the forums and status messages are mostly composed of people objecting to that, they may have a rethink...

20,000 people online right now. You are saying that 15,000 of them are not verified, dont have pics or have textless profiles? Im not going to count them, but I very much doubt it... |
