The listing says looking for Men. The profile says Not looking for single guys.

Aren't the two mutually exclusive?

If so - why not put a warning to the person placing the posting OR not allow them to chose the 'M' option?

Perhaps the put not looking for single guys to lessen the amount of messages at random from single guys. Then when they are looking for them they post a meet, thus enabling them to choose when, how and for how long single men can contact them.

Usually because they don't want to be inundated with messages from single guys and want a male when they want one. However I do agree there is no point in posting a meet with a male if they have males blocked from messaging.

It might be because they only want to meet with single males who are already on their friends list/men they have already been in contact with - letting them know that they are free

But if they are on there friends list surly it would be better to message them as there is no guarantee that there friends look at the meets page

Depends how many people are on their friends list. Some people have loads. And they dont need to look at the meets page as the little 'meet' icon would show on the profile/friends page/update list

Probably more than browse for individual meets!

It's probably the third most clicked button after 'home' and 'message inbox'.

Many people will have a 'pool' of friends they've engage with via chat or meets before that they'd consider for future meets rather than open it up to one and all.
