I think there could be some value in having some threads 'sticky', meaning that they remain at the top of the forum area and don't disappear off the front page.
There are some very useful threads, e.g. tips for writing a good profile, reasons why not everybody replies to messages, advice for those visiting a club for the first time, etc... etc... etc... These threads often get lost though, due to the sheer number of new threads being created and discussed. However, the same topics often appear quite frequently, with someone usually suggesting that the OP search for such-and-such a thread.
Having these useful threads as stickies - perhaps with a visible prefix so everyone knows they're sticky - would reduce the number of duplicate threads that are started which cover the same topic.
Anyone else think there's any value in doing this?
