"Why can't Fabswingers block someone's IP address if they have been threating to expose members on Facebook, to their friends or family by stealing pics and profiles....Surely to keep the fakes away they should ban IP addresses and not just the email address as that person could aquire a new email address come on again and cause members to quit... We pay our monthly subscription they say thanks but offer us no protection surely we should have support from the site owners against the fakes...usually if you complain or say something to a fake on forums you are the one who gets a ban...Rant over " Banning IP's is not a fool proof way unfortuntely, your home broadband is usually dynamically assigned from a pool of addresses from your provider, keeping it very simple you could get a new address every so often, also if your accessing from a laptop on you home broadband then access from your mobile over your mobile network you would again get a different IP, so in answer it may have an effect initially however it would not be long lasting

A simple rule is to not have 'naughty pics' showing faces, tattoos or other identifiable features. Keep face pics 'vanilla' and if the worst was to happen you have plausible deniability. Yes the site/profile text is on pics but you could simply claim somebody created the profile without your knowledges. It's an individuals responsibility to look after their privacy - not the sites. Some are happy to post face pics. A
