Poor Forgotten East Anglia

When when when will Fabs address the whole issue of geography on this site?

A huge part of the country is simply missing - or rather combined with the East Midlands.

There is no checking or control on where people place their profiles. Are Chesterfield and Sheffield in the East Midlands? Are Great Yarmouth and Norwich in the East Midlands? According to this site and many people that use it they are...

Searches too - these are just so lacking in funcationality. The geography of the country should be at the heart of the search options but if you want to look at all the "New Couples" for example you have to trawl pages and pages of entries to see if anyone local to you has joined! Madness!

I've spoken to Admin two or three times over the last couple of years and they assure me that they will be addressing these points during the year. - Unfortunately they haven't said which year...

Let's get a campaign going for East Anglia to be properly represented on this site and for a tightening of registration procedures to ensure people place themselves in their own localities!

Wouldn't that make it much easier for everyone?!

Love the site in most other respects by the way!!

Look at your "local updates" page (or via the home page which also lists local updates) to see people in your postcode who have joined and match your preferences.

I do use that - but I live on the border of 3 counties... So only see people who have joined in the postcode I live - not the other two counties which are less then 1 mile away....

Being asble to search new users in a county or group of counties that I choose would be perfect...

I address that by periodically changing my postcode

We'll try and add this shortly - a "newbies" checkbox on the "browse" form would do it?

Yes - but surely it would be better for you to address the whole counties and geographic areas issue and then provide a much more advanced set of search options.

Many other sites offer similar, so it can't be that difficult - I'd even bet there is some template software already out there that you could make use of...
