'Meet today' timewasters

When I check for couples/females looking to 'meet today' via the browse section, in my region it's always the same couples advertising. Are they meeting every night or do they get off on seeing how many replies they receive. As a suggestion, could members be limited as to how many times they can advertise a meet during a set period, whether that be weekly or monthly? Are other regions plagued by the same problem?

We use the meet today often, maybe 3 times a week,we are genuine,so why on earth would we want it to be restricted?

And if people have got meet today up every night then then that is their business not yours or anyone elses!

too right... say if i happen to be on a week or two weeks holiday from work.... should i not be allowed to meet every day if i so wish???

or what about it i were working part time? .....

or if i won the lottery and decided to stop working and found something else to do with my free time!

like JnP said... it is really no one elses business who you meet and how many meets you have!!!!!

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

What if I'm willing to meet today, but nobody takes me up on it (as if ).

I'm therefore twice as randy the following day, so advertise again.

You scan profiles and see this, and think I'm some sort of pervert...

hang on, that wasn't a very well-structure point...

I put up the meet today thing a few times a week sometimes. Other times I might not use it for a while. It a good way to find peole in your area who are looking to meet. Also for people to contact you.

Id see some women using it everyday, because they havent found the person that they want to meet yet. Or else they've been contacted by a timewaster or someone who lives 200 miles away from them.

If you dont like these couples in your area using the meet today function, well thats your own personal opinion. Why dont you look for people in your area and message them if you want to meet.

I don't understand why the OP feels its such a problem

Im wondering why people take every aspect of this site so seriously or am I far too laid back for my own good?

No your not too laid back, you just take the site for what it is - fun, which is exactly the way we look at the site and swinging in general, it's fun, a bit of a laugh, a pastime, but to some it's a way of life and they get so bogged down in it.

And some people just cannot help but moan, groan, nit pick and analyse everything to the Nth degree.

It really wears you down in the end ...

Quite agree.

As a man, I get my fair quota of rejections and initially I used to get fed up.

However I do appreciate that ladies and couples must get dozens of messages a day and there's only so much time in the day to answer them.

So now what I do is to add a sort of disclaimer at the bottom of my message asking that if they are not interested, then please delete the message without replying. I then add it to my block list, thus avoiding wasting mine and their time.

And move on... plenty more fish etc etc ........simple as that

possibly the op can only manage it once a week and thinks everyone else should

I'm thinking more on the lines of the OP is sending messages to people who have the meet today up and not having any luck, maybe he thinks that if someone has a meet today up they should meet him,so says they are timewasters and he is spitting his dummy out by saying that it can only be used once a month or whatever he said.

I sometimes put a Meet Today with every intention on Meeting Tonight.

But when people just asssume you will meet because they message you ie "I'm free tonight hun" or "Hi Bable - you free now? I can come to yours" - and I say "No Thanks" - I get labelled a time waster!

Sometimes logistically its been impossible because of distance and timing but other times its led to chatting and meeting in the future.

Cant please all of the people all of the time!!

Hmmmmmm....

I wonder if the OP got a knock back from a reply to a meet today, seen that they/her had put another one up and couldn't take the rejection?

Just a stab in the dark like

When we use the meet today thingy we put on what day and maybe advertise it for a week in advance (yes - we had to be that organsied as work got in the way of fun otherwise)

But having had no luck in the new meet today thing the past 2 weekends, we not gonna be using it in future, and will only meet when people ask us if we are free. Which will mean we prolly never be asked.

I use it once ayear (never had a single reply though).. but reply to loads.. (never got a response from that either)

We sometimes use it 3 times a week other weeks we might not use it at all,but we dont use it to see how many replies we get,we work have kids so our time is limited anyway,so for us its a great way of letting people we are free and we are looking for a meet!

And im sure the same goes for other people who use the meet today!

"Should the option be removed from site?"

No,why? because a couple of single guys are moaning about it... Because they assume that just because someone has got as meet today up then they should meet them and when they dont they start calling people timewasters because they have been turned down!

How can someone be a timewaster just because they have got the meet today up?

"Should the option be removed from site?"

Of course it shouldn't !

OK a few people will moan about it but I'm sure there must be many more who use it and don't moan, so why should they suffer because of a few moaning minnies

I use "Meet Today" a lot, sometimes to find someone for that day, but its also handy for finding people that can't necessary meet that day but could later that week and it lets them know you are looking for meets.

I have been called a timewaster and worse when I have rejected people who respond to a meet today flag. I think they mistake if for a "Meet Anyone" flag. When it happens I just exercise my right and press the block option and they get a "Meet Never" flag from me.

I don't think anyone should be limited to the amount of time you can use "Meet Today" because i'm sure there are people on here that would happily meet every day....in fact i'm one of them.

Agree there...just because some cant get a meet when they want doesnt mean that others should be "banned" from using it. We use it to plan ahead for weekends or mid week, but it seems that some like the OP if they cant get what they want start the usual moan moan moan...

I use it too and find it helpful for future meets aswell.let's say I have a meet friday night and 15 guys send me a message...out of that 15 there may be 2 or 3 that I may consider meeting and out of them the other 2 I don't choose I may make future arrangements with...sometimes I may get 15 messages and none take my fancy and I end up alone watching crap telly...doesn't make me a timewaster because I didn't want to shag someone for the sake of shagging
