I personally think that 7 days is far too long to wait to post in the forums. I think 3 or 4 would be sufficient enough

I disagree, 7 days is really not long.

A large number of 'naughty step' candidates would simply create another profile and continuing posting if it wasn't for the 7 day wait.

There are already lifelong banned members hiding in plain sight using the forums.

And removing the 7 day wait would mean an increase of I've been here 3 hours and 'not got any' threads,
