Why dont you give the new comers at least 5 hours or a day or week to see if there are real or not and then bring them in to the site probley if you know what i men there x like put them in a box sort of thing and then put them back in to the commety |

Well they cant post on the forums until verified (photo or met in person) or until 7 days is up and I would assume cam has something similar (I dont use it though, so am guessing)
Activate your filters to stop unverifieds from being able to pm you and stop worrying about it. |

Its 7 days, being verified has nothing to do with posting on the forums.
I agree with the filters bit though, never understand why people don't use them but I guess they would have less to moan about wouldn't they  |

Are you sure that you dont need to be at least photo verified to post on the forums. My understanding is, at least 7 days on this site, and at least photo verified before you can post on these forums... |

It's swings and roundabouts - getting as many members as possible is good for everyone, if they're the right people.
It would be good for the poster to list the exact things that they'd like, to make their suggestion clearer.
Eg,
1. new members get x after y days or hours
2. new members must do z before joining
etc |

I'm led to believe that it's not that difficult to forge.
But i fail to see why anyone would suggest doing away with meet verifications (which actually take quite a lot of effort to forge), unless it is because they lack them and feel that that is holding them back.

We should be welcoming newbies to the site, not slapping more restrictions on them as i believe there are plenty in place. Fake profiles and time wasters are part and parcel of the site and with time you learn to spot them. |
