Hey. Do you know if we're going to be able to see cams in chat anytime soon when using a tablet? Currently I can't view any cams on my ipad.

Ask Apple, it's their software that doesn't allow you to.

You can use Puffin browser to watch cams, but not show your own.

I'm using an iPad/iPhone and I can't see cams or get mine to work?

Like nearly all cam technology on websites, our site makes use of Adobe Flash to stream your cam and to display cams. Apple have made a decision not to allow Flash on their devices, so cams won't work on an iPad or iPhone. A related question to this might be: Why don't you use HTML5 for cams/chat. HTML5 doesn't (and won't for the forseeable future) support access to your CAM so at the moment Flash is the best technology for this without requiring you to download special software to your device.

For Android you can use Puffin browser from the Play store, but that won't let you broadcast your cam, but will enable you to watch others.

You can also download an older version of Flash, from the Adobe site, not the Play store, and that will give you the same results as above.

Flash is dead for mobiles - onus is on the site developers to keep up with current trends.

Might be a good idea to try and develop a mobile version of the chat room similar to the mobile version of the website, so that it is simple and easy to chat/view cams

Flash has been unsupported on Android for a while now. Older versions work for some things, but it's shakey at best. The browser on my Samsung Galaxy S3 has always been prone to random lockups when viewing cams, but since the last Android update, it crashes on opening 9 out of 10 cams. I do most of my Fabbing on my phone these days, so a revamped HTML5 chat (or similar) would be most welcome.
