Is there anyway that someone can have a 7 days grace if they delete their profile? I have this option on another site i'm on which means that people who want some peace, could have 7 days as to whether they wanted to come back or not. It would also cover people like my friend, who is not very technical and has deleted his profile but cant work out how to get it back  so is having to use an old couples profile he had.
With that in mind, is there a way to have the option to put that you are on holiday, for example? I know there is the status but that only lasts for a few days  |

Why not just hide your profile whilst you are deciding wether to come back or not ?
Admin win because they won't have to set up another facility
You win because if you decide to come back you don't have to go to all the bother of making a new profile and uploading new photos |

It is pretty clear on the delete page that an account is permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
There are options to hide your profile on the privacy page (via "my account") if people want to take a break instead.

How about an option to input a short message to explain why the profile is hidden, e.g. away on business/off on holiday etc...? I believe this may be useful to peeps. |

I think he knows that and didnt mean to delete it (a man what can i say ) but wants to use it rather than set up a new one hence he is now using an old couples profile |

actually when im holiday, im logged on here all the time as i cant afford to go away  |

I know what you mean! Camping is cheap enough though, hence all my holidays this year are camping trips in the UK at sites with WiFi! |
