suggestion to help with fake profiles

Everyone on this site at some point has had to deal with a fake profile and pic collectors. You can also recognise these profiles with those who have been registered for over a year with no pic or meeting verifications, although not always the case its more than likely.

It is with this in mind that i have a suggestion.

I suggest that those profiles who have been on the site longer than 6 months and have not been verified by pic or meeting lose there ability to receive, send messages, wink, like pics, post in the forums and basically an invisible member.

Hope you take this into consideration to help improve the site

Why do people feel the need to tell others how to use the site instead of just moving on to a profile that suits them better. I'm pretty sure to come across a profile that has not been active for 6 months you have got to dig deep anyway.

We don't meet much but try to as much as we can ,

We got personal lives to deal with as well as running our own business,

So on this note above our personal time for us both is imprortant and we don't always list a meet when we kid free as we don't want to get to the point were it feels like having a meet on fab is the only way to have time for each other,

I have come accross profiles that are active for a while now and they logged on daily but never meet or when comes down to it won't meet and they have over 100 profile pictures ,

Each to there own I say some just like to watch

Or you could use the sites function for stopping non verified members from contacting you.

Why ? Just because someone isn't verified it doesn't mean they are not meeting. They may for all anyone knows be meeting every night of the week but chose to keep what they doing private. Anyone can stop unverified from contacting them which is their choice. If everyone worried about their own profile and not anyone else's then well I suppose no one would have anything to moan about.

Really... If by dealing with them you mean taking the 30 seconds to look at their profile and deleting an initial message then ok.. I agree.

But if you mean getting sucked into arranging to meet a fake or sending pics to one... Then nope, can't say I ever have. I use the tools available on the site along with gut instinct and it's worked well for me

So where is your evidence to prove that those that have been here for a year without pictures and unverified must be fakes? What about:-

1) those in the forces who may have set up the profile then been posted abroad

2) those who only meet in clubs and don't get verified by anyone

3) those who prefer not to get verified ie some cheaters

4) those who don't want to get verified

5) those who no longer swing but keep their profile to chat to friends they have made

6) those who prefer to watch/voyeur and no interest in meeting anyone as they use cams/chat rooms

7) those who set up a profile then life ie relationship got in the way

And if you decide that people lose all those things, how to they then get verified?

Realistically its up to the owner of the profile to manage it how they want not up to anyone else telling them how they should.

Being verified does not make anyone genuine, the same as being unverified does not make anyone a fake

Fake profiles are easy to spot, if it looks too good to be true..it's too good to be true.

Though I thinkthe problem is that gut instinct is dangerously close to common sense and this is where many people hit problems.

I really fail to see the obsession some members have with expecting admin to "sort out" a prblem which for many simply does not exist.

I meet married men, and would necer ask for or write a verification, we are all different, and I don't need to let others know who I have met.

Its my choice, Its a great site, and as someone said just use common sense and you will be fine.

Thinking about it now tho a profile that don't meet and a profile that not verified an a profile you don't see in chat

Is the profile you get a message off when you become a site surporter , don't see anyone saying that a fake profile

But yet people describe it so does that mean the whole of fab is fake

Just a diffrent thought

There are unscrupulous people who offer newbies veris without having ever met them. So fake and dodgy profiles may well be verified.

There are genuine people who simply haven't been able to get a meet with a verified person so they can then get a veri. This is often the case with single men. Your suggestion would penalize them but let the ones with fake veris slip past.

Far better to develop judgement and your own system of screening and not to rely on just one thing to try to avoid the fakes.

OP I agree with you. They should at least be photo verified within the first 6 months. I know it's not fool proof, but it's a start.

I know everyone can use this site as they wish. But what was the site originally set up for? Surely the owners can decide who they want to use it and how? The OP is simply putting an idea forward.

amd how would they then become active again? Because if they can't do any of those things then they'd surely struggle with that? Oh! I know! Clog the site servers with yet another new profile? One that they will continue to use in whichever way they choose to?

I thought this forum was mesnt fir suggestions and ideas to be put forward, didn't think the threads, regardless wither you agree or not, would get slated so much or in such an unproductive aggressive manor.
