Been mentioned many times with the same response.
No, they tried it elsewhere and people moaned that the response wasn't personal enough.
Since, the the FAQ's state that a no reply isnt rude.. use that.
If you dont want repeated winks and views - use the block feature.

Regardless what FAQs state I do think its rude and automated reply would be great in my opinion |

"People could try taking the time and making an effort to write to people. It could start a trend of people being more decent to each other."
I tried that when I first joined. In my first 24 hours I had 400 messages to read and reply to, then an average of 50-100 a day after that. Even using copy and paste messages to either say "lets chat" or "sorry, not interested" I was looking at a couple of minutes a reply to read the message and profile.
800 minutes (400 messages x 2 minutes) is 13+ hours. And of course the longer you are online the more messages you get...
That was just the initial contact too, try running several conversations at the same time, getting abuse from people you've turned down, getting abuse from guys who feel you aren't replying fast enough to their messages.
What would you honestly do? |

Also the FAQ says it's not rude not to reply. It just means they're not interested.

Agree with you totally , I don't see why some one would be upset if they received a polite thank you but not interested , rather than be ignored , makes perfect sense , after all the answers the same whether you reply personally or with an automated reply
As for blocking some one , seem A bit harsh if they have bothered to write or wink you , at least an automated reply saying no thank you , can diplomatically say bog off x |
