If someone on your hotlist views your profile it now shows on the updates feed for your hotlist.
If someone in your local area views your profile it now shows on your local updates. As per all local updates they only show if they're a mutual match i.e. you are what they are looking for and they are what you are looking for.
All looked@me privacy settings are respected so if you've opted out you won't show on the updates.
We only the 4 most recent "viewed" items per hotlist update or per local updates.
Our analysis has shown that when we improve the updates feed it is one of the best ways we have of increasing engagement on the site.
