I see that you can report someone for failing to attend but I don't know what happens after that. no shows have a major impact and ruin the site for real people its a shame more cannot be done about this with offenders removed from site. one way would be when you agree a meet it would generate a code for the person hosting the meet. when the other person arrives they get the code to prove they did turn up. if you remove the timewasters it will be a lot better and easier to arrange meets. another thing would be it could flag up on their profile so you can filter them out |

Not think thats a bit much? I know its a pain ....I had it as recently as last week from someone I've met before and thought i knew ...no show, no word, nothing but whats the point in reporting to be honest...I mean really what they going to do. Person can just get a new profile. Im just putting it down to experience and a BIG loss to him ....hope your luck changes soon |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
I have had a few no-shows, mostly when I first joined and, funnily enough, mostly verified guys. I just report, block, and move on. Yes, it's upsetting sitting in the pub waiting for someone who had no intention of meeting, but it doesn't stop me from arranging other meets.
Everyone is responsible for their own behaviour on Fab, not anyone elses. Let the admin deal with no shows by reporting them. |

This is why I (and a few others, see Wyrdwomans post) arrange first meets in a cafe or pub local to us - at least if you get stood up the most you've spent is the cost of a drink.
Many people swear by speaking to your meet on the phone first too.

And if it's a couple speak to 'em both, also check that the female half's voice isn't just a bloke doing that high pitch voice they do to try and sound female (you know, where they sound sorta like the queen). |

Happened to us a few times, annoying, there will ALWAYS be time wasters, glad to say though the genuine seem to outway them, pisses me off for a couple of hours.. But then I move on and look for someone that's hopefully worth my time and effort |

That's why we find is better attending a club. What you see is what you get on the night |

We have been stood up after speaking on the phone and it was a lengthy conversation!
At least they let us know even though it was only 40 mins before they were due to arrive |

So what you're saying OP is that people wouldn't be free to mail and arrange meets anymore. We'd have to go through a meeting system to get your code?
No one would do it and this site would be empty. I know a TV site that uses a meets system like that, where the site encourages people to arrange meetings that way, and if one party doesn't show up they can be deleted by admin. You know what, no-one uses that, they all arrange meetings via email because no-one wants to be deleted because life got in the way!
Modify your selection process for potential dates. Even then you'll still be let down occasionally. |

If you are getting that many you seriously need to look at your selection criteria. |

"A no show turn up is better than been made drive neatly two hours to wrong address!! The tosser lol" Driving 2 hours just for sex sounds desperate to us, bloody hell a 4 hour round trip for potentially 30 mins of fun, surely there must be people closer than that
