I don't get it.... if your "sent items" doesn't say "read", then it's unread, surely?
Or do you mean that when your "sent items" shows "deleted", you want to know whether or not it was read before it was deleted?
Either way, I wouldn't worry about it. Read-and-deleted or unread-and-deleted pretty much means the same thing. |

"Sounds like a trust issue to me "
Not necessarily, it maybe that she logs on all the time, whereas he doesn't so much. She then reads the mail which means that he when he logs on, would be unable to tell which ones he needs to read (or all of this maybe the other way around ie he logs on all the time, she doesn't etc) |

"sorry i mean in your own inbox, a way of being able to unread your inbox message if its for the other partner, as me and boyfriend still live separately."
Why don't you save the messages when you have read them? That way when he or you then log on you/he can check the saved folder then discuss whether to chat further to them or not |

Suggestion: When the first half of a couple is reading an unread message, they should DELETE if they have no interest. Thus, the only read messages in the inbox will be ones where the second half of the couple needs to read so that they can discuss. |

I totally understand this I (MrsB) am a bigger for reading something and thinking I'll reply to it later and forgetting, and often it's been read MrB might presume it has been replied to. It's also handy if you're waiting to discuss before replying as some peopl!e get impatient if you read but don't reply straight away. |
