"As a non facebook user, not a clue what anyone is going on about..........but Jim has a good answer lol or....answer them in your own status message?"
Wouldn't you have to message them to tell them to look at your status?
I have visions of wholly bizarre status messages which only make sense to however whoever asked the original question. |

Hmmm maybe, which really means just cut out the middle man (ie writing on your status bar ) and use your suggestion instead
If they were all friends though they might check out each other status? So back to my suggestion.

"Or the funniest
Anyway OP and Steve, enlighten us, what is it? "
On facebook a user posts their status, obviously tamer than the ones on here, lol. But unlike fabs, friends of the user can comment on the status as part of the same "thread". Also, friends of the user with the status update can see all the comments made.

all sound like we are forming some kind of networking system rather than a site where all individuals are contactable by all site user's unless of course your blocked by any particular one or the other, and like said how can you compare this site with something like facebook which is something completely different both in format and intended use |

Where am I comparing fabs with facebook?
I was using facebook to show an example of what the OP meant.... not comparing!!
Of course there is no comparison but the OP suggested a feature that is used in many social networking sites, that is, partially already used in Fabs. OP just thought that it would be a good idea to extend this and by using the facebook analagy it was hopefully getting an example across of how it could work.

And where did I say that members couldnt be contactable by other members??
People, please read what the posts actually say, rather than what you want them to say...............
