I, and it seems quite a few other members, wonder whether it is possible to have some sort of option where we can be online without actually showing as being online? Not sure whether it's possible but it might be a nice idea.  |

cant find this thread in another forum so answer it in this one. If we are allowed to come online in fab on stealth mode then everyone will be doing it even the mods so the chat rooms will look empty how would we know who is actuallying on the room part of the screen  or am i being dim |

No, you're not being dim....it would be a good idea to appear online if you are in the chat/cam rooms, I just think it would be good to have the choice of whether you want others to know you are online or not - maybe an option you can click on when you first log in  |

This could have huge benefits to those of us that do not use the chat rooms, but what will happen to all the 'she's logged on but hasn't read my message!' threads  I would love to be able to log in, in stealth. The only downside I can see is, if someone hasn't logged on for months/years then their account will still get lots of emails as that info no longer shows. |

I think its a good idea,as my pc has died I have to use my mobile. I don't log out as its to much hassle logging in on my phone. I get messages while working so don't see them until I get a quiet moment. I get accused of being rude, so this would work for me. |

It's not that at all for me, it's just that every time I log in I immediately get lots of messages - I assume from people who look at the 'who's online now' option? I have enough trouble replying to messages as it is without having any more than I do  |

Then block everyone on your mail setting and mail those who you want want to |

I use filters, and even using filters it doesn't stop the messages.
Plus, its the messages you get when you do not respond quick enough (In their opinion)
If they cant tell I've been online, they cant complain about me not going into mu inbox.
Also by not logging in, you drop lower down on the search, if you log in for the forums, you pop to the top of the search  |

i am with you on this...if the site looks empty...people won't hang around....or pay to upgrade.
would you walk into an empty bar on a Friday night...or empty restaurant??
I am against hiding...we are adults...deal with pests in a polite adult fashion or apply blocks or filters.

What about us that do not use cams/chat rooms?
Should we shut up, put up, pay site supporters? (Mainly for your cam usage, I believe)
Why cant we do stealth mode online except chat? Chat opens a new window anyways!

Your best bet is probably to hide your profile or change your filters, that way you can contact who you want without having them contact you

Your best bet is probably to hide your profile or change your filters, that way you can contact who you want without having them contact you

I understand that but sometimes it would just be nice to log on without even friends knowing you are about. I'm sure there must be more people than me who have days where all they want is to read forums without feeling rude about not answering messages from them. |
