I don’t know what the answer is but fab is just full of fuck n go chancers, not genuine swingers who know the score
Such men are a complete waste of time - our block list grows by the day - and give men a bad name
Standards need raising but it can’t be policed so nowt will ever change

It's free to join fab. You can filter out people who haven't paid to join and you can see who paid silver or gold membership. |

Personally we think that there should be a time limit, as in if you are not verified by another person within 6 months they should be removed.

That is why we only use same guy most of the time as been let down loads by single guys waiting in hotels for them to turn up only for a no show so put Jane off meeting one guy even wanted pic of room door as he was saying we could be timewasters want pic of it then never heard from him . |

I find the term time waster gets thrown about a lot! I get called it a lot when I don't reply to messages or drop everything to meet a man or couple when they have asked (despite my profile saying my time is limited)
Charging more won't change this (I also wouldn't pay any more than I do). Use your filters (although the profile pic one needs some serious work), trust your gut not your cock when deciding who to message, socialise on and off fab and have a decent profile.
I meet single men and know a couple of women who do too- I wouldn't say I have ever experienced a time waster.  |

Paying money doesn't guarantee different results. If people want to meet you they will, if they don't, they won't.
The myth that only 'genuine' swingers will pay to use a site is just that. Fab has always been free to use, with an option of supporting the site with a fair and nominal subscription. But that little silver or gold medal you see doesn't suddenly transform someone's behaviour, personality or what they're looking for from the site.
It's generally those that aren't getting what they want from the site that think paying more will be some kind of solution, as if that will change their luck and open the floodgates to more meets. It wouldn't.
It's usually easy to spot the profiles that are active, looking to meet and who are in this for the long haul, rather than just using the site as a temporary means of finding sex. Filters and the block button are far more effective tools than any fee, as are a well written profile and good visuals.
Not putting all your eggs in one basket and relying on online contact is also advisable. One of the best things about Fab is the ability to see what's going on in the wider swinging world through events, clubs and organised socials. Networking and building up a reputation is how most find success and company.
And all of that can either be done for free, or by paying the current exceptionally good value supporter fees. |

You are exactly right. Everyone's definition of a time waster is different.
I have been called one for chatting to a guy for a few days then he waved some massive red flags in his messages so I told him not for me.
Also for not replying to messages when they were from people 200 miles away.
The best one though was for being online and not being ready to meet straight away. Apparently I should only be online if I am ready to meet now. If I'm not willing or ready to go straight out and meet him when he wanted me I shouldn't even log on 
Filters are there to be used and they do help so use them. |

You only have your time wasted if you allow it to be. Membership will not stop you from allowing others to waste your time. It's about due diligence, not expecting to meet someone after the first message. Even if only meeting for a social, I will message the day before, even the hour before and ask if they're still able to make it. If it goes quiet then you know they're unlikely to turn up. I've been on and off of here for years and only had my 'time wasted' once. I turned up even knowing that they weren't going to for the reason outlined above. But it wasn't a waste of time, I had a nice coffee! |

There are ways to eliminate the lesser desired users here, but those methods require additional funds and staffing.
The site owner is making a decent amount of money from fab so I highly doubt spending extra is going to happen.
Using the site wisely/strategically and blocking profiles that don't fit in with what you're looking for works well.

Fab has insisted it's a free to use site, with optional paid for site supporter additional features.
Most people prefer the choice that having more, not fewer people here to select from suits them. The very vast majority of people will never be mutually compatible, so it takes high volumes of people, to be able to find the tiny few who are matched.
Some people think that just because you chat and then don't meet THEM, that you aren't here to meet people. It couldn't be further from the truth.
It's often raised as an idea but it's for the owners to run their business in the ways that suits them. And for users to develop realistic expectations and skills that improve their potential to find matching people. |
