Ban avoidance

There’s someone I know outside of fab who’s in double digits for how many accounts they have. With everyone single one being banned for selling content.

As soon as they are banned they open a new account and start offering again.

Surely Fab can see this from the photo verification that it’s the same person and surely something harsher must be done to stop people being able to avoid bans by simply creating a new account 2 minutes after their previous one was made?

Different people review the photos and there's no system to see previous ones etc. They could implement IP bans but they're not too hard to get around, so not sure what else could be done?

I think that you'd need to report the offender directly to Admin and explain their repeated abuse of the system in your report. It's up to them to develop their systems for such behaviour and they won't publicly disclose what they have in place to prevent it, as this would give guidance for abusers, in how to work around it. Ultimately, Fab's development/operational costs are their responsibilities and their goals and priorities are for them to decide upon.

Photo verification isn't compulsory. You can set up an account without going through the process. And as mentioned above there are multiple photos mods so the same person won't see the same images if they are being verified.

If, as you say, every account is being banned then something right is happening, be that admin intervention or reacting to the profiles being reported.

As always, if someone is attempting to sell content then report them and admin will deal with it.

As you seem to be aware of what's going on I'd assume you're doing that yourself?

I am reporting them. The admins only take action if the person mentions something about selling in a status or message (which all they get is a block from messaging for a few hours). Every account they make i immediately report it and provide all the usernames from their previous accounts in said report but alas, admins don’t seem bothered.

In regards to photo verification, they do do it, for every account

What can admin do when people can get round ip bans with vpns etc? Just block newbies and you wont need to interact with new profiles or report block and move on

A PV doesn't need to show their face, just their sex. And I know I can't recognise people by their genitals.

Neither of these comments are correct.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
