Isn’t it about time the site remapped the areas

We live in Yorkshire but are stuck between north east for Leeds and east midlands for Sheffield and Doncaster

Perhaps segregation by county eould be clearer ?

Any thoughts anyone

I've never worried about the geography myself. It's not perfect, but given you can type in whatever you want as your location and search by distance, accuracy doesn't mean that much.

If you're on the northern border of Devon for example, you'll be closer to people in Somerset than you will Cornwall.

How specific you are when putting in your hone location and postcode is entirely optional.

Agreed I'm in Norwich which is classed as East Midlands which it isn't.

It's amazing how big "East Midlands" appears to be. The only benefit I'm seeing is learning names of places and distances from me.

Lanarkshire

Try living in Scotland. A whole country in one region.

From Gretna at the border it's a similar distance to both London and Thurso.

Constantly Travelling With Work

Agreed, I spent a lot of time working in Leicester over the last 6 months, and when looking through the "Meets", that could be from Sheffield to Great Yarmouth. Which is a bit of a distance.

Serious question.

I know the geography is flawed, but do people not use the advanced search function? You can set the radius from your location however distant you want. Which means whether you're in an accurately described area or a huge one, in the middle or on the border of two regions, you'll get results from people close to you.

Just a thought. 🤷‍♂️

Well the meets look up screen could benefit from having a distance thing as the areas really are woeful and inaccurate.

As others have said East Midlands is huuuge.

The advanced search does do by location and distance but the algorithm is far to concerned with latest online and overrides distance too much.

I understand the reason for that..keeping things relevant and not showing dead profiles but i'd like to see a way of overriding that so i can actually see who is in my range.
