Hi all
Why does only England get regions? Makes no sense to me that in Scotland we put Dumfries and Aberdeen (or Waterford and Coleraine in Ireland) in the same "locality" when they're several hundred miles apart... |

I guess way back when the site was set up there may not have been huge volumes of members from either.
I've personally never worried about the geography aspect. Most people search by distance and many will be on the borders of counties/regions, so could easily be closer to someone in a different one to their own.
A company I used to work for had 150 odd separate areas when I joined it. By the time I left there were 7. The buildings were all still in the same places though. |

I don't use the search facility anymore but when I did it was always a bone of contention that if I used anything more than a 40 mile radius from my postcode the vast majority of results were in Scotland or the North of England. |
