"I would probably change the rule about newbies not being able to post on the forum for 336 hours.
There probably is a valid reason for that rule but I have no idea what it could be. "
- User 123 joins Fab, immediately spams forum about how we can pay to fuck her or see her paywalled porn. User gets banned. User 124 joins Fab and does the same, because same person.
- User 456 joins Fab, uses the forum, gets a permanent ban for good reasons. User 457 joins Fab and ditto. |

To stop people signing up new accounts so they can insult or argue "anonymously" or work around a ban?

I would like to see the "bad word filter" improved, so people can mention pesky unwanted plants, or sorting the wheat from the chaff, without their word becoming just "s" or "ing"... or that you can't mention your favourite soft drink but can type cocaine and marijuana in full |

I'd like to see some nuance in the interests. Such as fister and fistee.
I'm sure that two people have turned up to the meet with lube and boxing gloves only to both end up saying, 'Oh.' |

I'd like the OP of a forum thread be able to close it once they are happy it's run it's course.
Sometimes, you have received an answer to your question or statement and have no interest in any more views.
Quick closure can sometimes stop threads developing into pissing contests between others on your thread.
Bloody nerve. |

Haha, this reminds me of all the people who move to our village because they liked it so much, and then set about trying to change stuff. |

"I’d like to be able to find a post or where in the post someone has put their reply without having to scroll it all
"
On chrome browser and others click the dots in the top right and select find in page. Type in the profile name and that takes you directly to their post. If you then click on the green arrow while still in that mode it takes you directly to every post that person has made. |

You don't have to screenshot. Images can be downloaded directly. "
Or taken from another phone….. But to put even one obstacle in front of those who are picture snappers and share them elsewere would help. |

Every member must pay to be here.
I think that would get rid of 95% of the dreamers, time wasters and complete fantasists that have absolutely no intention of meeting and have took zero time to try and understand what this site is about or what the genuine members are actually looking for.
I would also remove the content creators who are only using this site to promote their ‘other interests’ and allow any member to be ‘friends’ |

Do you think £5 is enough of a deterrent?
I wasn't a site supporter for a decade. Didn't change how I used the site.
Likewise I know many who aren't interested in photo verification. They're still real as I've met them. A paywall isn't the magic wand people think it is. |

I would suggest you are in the minority, not the majority. I doubt many fantasists would stay long paying £5/£10 a go just to get their jollies setting up couples accounts, etc. The site should be doing more to get rid of the fake profiles and profiles who haven’t been site verified, let alone the content creators who use this site as a platform to get more users on their ‘other sites’ |

Block new profiles from messaging you.
Block unverified profiles from messaging you.
You can even block non site supporters from messaging you given you feel that they may be more likely to be 'not genuine'.
Block any segments that you're not interested in from messaging you and perhaps even those that you are, and make first contact yourself.
Report anyone you feel is a content creator looking to make money. Its against site rules.
There's lots of tools available on the site, but the biggest are free. Your own judgement and common sense.
Paywalls aren't the answer. Plenty of sites charge and have the same issues you state. Fab has always been free to use and people have managed to successfully navigate the site without paying for years. |

I would go so far as to suggest that anyone consistently meeting or chatting to timewasters(a very subjective term anyway and open to interpretation), fantasists or content creators are in the minority not the majority.
I've been here 8 years and never once engaged with anyone fitting those descriptions and every time one of these threads pops up the vast majority agree they have never had these experiences.
I've found that most who advocate for keeping everything behind a paywall need to take a step back and have a look at how they are vetting those they are chatting to because all the tools are already available.
If the site really was rife with all these characters the law of averages would say that everyone on the site would have come across them. Strangely enough that's not the case and it's not down to luck. Just common sense.
Why is it the sites responsibility to hold everyone's hand? |

Everyone is entitled to an opinion whether you agree or disagree.
But having been on this site many years we have never known it as worse as it is now. It seems full of people wanting ‘friends’ to get their videos to top spot in order to further their own ‘business’ elsewhere and people who simply want to get their kicks from having profiles which aren’t site verified and complaints to admin go ignored.
Yes we do block and have settings but they simply leave creative new account and return |

At the end of the day, FAB is a business that takes as many Fivers off people as possible.
Nothing wrong with that.
Is it like the old swingers sites, absolutely not, but they tended to be sites run by swingers to enable other swingers to get together and your thoughts on political, virus and health issues did not really enter the equation.
Does FAB have some good features, absolutely.
For us, the best are party, club and social meet up information.
See who's near is brilliant, we'll use it this weekend when we are on holiday. It has transformed overseas holidays and has the added extra of showing the distance between folks, great for ing out timewasters who say they would love to meet up tonight and are staying in a local hotel, see who's near shows them as 1500 miles away.
Have to admit often saying "love to meet up tonight and I guarantee you can have as much sex as you can manage" sadly they slope away into the ether.
Does it attract the sad, lonely, delusional, timewaster, drama queen, those who operate on the edge of society.
Yes, of course it does, it's so easy to set up a profile it will suck in all types from society.
As a 121 meet up site?
If you have the time and inclination to trawl through timewasters, it's fine but we tend to use the sites with much less functions for 121 meets.
Don't think the number of users on a site is a litmus for quality.
We have no problem with the chatters or folks who never want to meet unless they start playing games and waste our time asking to meet.
We've been down that road and it's frustrating wasting time and effort on these people, I have no idea what they gain from their sad experience.
All in all, FAB has been, and continues to be, a good reference for what we enjoy.
How high would a subscription be for us to walk away.
I honestly don't know.
Have fun everyone.

Users who have 'fill in later' should have their screen wobble about, or something similar, after they have been onsite for a specified period, with those words flashing on the screen in bold. A few more would probably add something different, if it happened. |

Message limit filters for all.
Example, if you have a female profile, you can manually set a limit to number of messages in your inbox. When it gets full, other users cannot message you until you have dealt/replied/deleted unwanted messages.

You are only allowed to complain about not receiving replies on the day of the annual anniversary of joining fab. |

Mandatory photo verification.
I KNOW that you can filter unverified profiles out and/or choose not to speak to them, but it would out so many timewasting false profiles from even getting a chance to interact with anyone on here.
It's not an arduous task and anyone genuine shouldn't have an issue with it. I can't see why this isn't a thing already. |

"Not so much a rule change as a technical one - I'd amend quotes on the forum to only quote the post you are replying to, rather than also quoting the two dozen posts before that. "
You can edit the text in a post, so if you want to reply to a specific part of a post you can just quote that part.
Similarly to your request, I'd like quotes to actually reference the user who made them. |

I'd introduce a rule banning people from listing spurious meets, when they are just advertising by the back door.
Ie, folk who work in clubs or who run events and list a meet today at the club or event, but aren't actually looking for meets.
Impossible to police, but it's a pain when you check local meet today and see it is just club employees listing meets at the club.
Also, I'd ban any mention of a wish list on people's profiles. I'm not here to buy someone a present. |

Hey 👋 I sadly disagree with you , I've reported profiles that continously breach fab Terms and Conditions yet they continue active and doing the same breaches. I'm happy with rules as long as universal for all members. There's lots of breaches currently on forums and profiles mentioning other platforms and social media from the same users. |

The likes of this wouldn't be ignored. Rules are the same for everyone. They may have recieved a warning when you seem to be expecting a suspension.
If you see them doing it again then report as obviously different sanctions will then be applied. |

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.
******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).
Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.
Admin
PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.
Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:
--
Your feedback has been saved.
A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.
By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.****** |

"Back to the OP please"
Hi Ruby
The one I would find most useful is a change to the ‘Browse Meets’ search criteria to show people wanting to meet single guys (or couples or F’s if that is you).
You can specify the poster category but not what they look for. So that often means trawling through many records to find the relevant ones.

No so you can post mean things and remove them but if you dont feel your comment is valid anymore or you’ve been left out of an inclusive thread. |

Negative feedback should be a thing. It would enable genuine people and dissuade bad behaviour. Bad behaviour (usually people here for kicks, and not to meet) is the primary reason people leave Fab. |

"no reply means no thanks" bullshit. If it's a no then a pre written out saved message can be sent by pressing a single button on the latest message. It would be very quick and shows that the receiver has read your message/ viewed your profile and decided no and has the courtesy to send you that pre recorded / written message, instead of just an ignorant delete. |

Would love a couples only chatroom. Obviously there's no guarantee the couples are legit...well ever on this site it seems, but non-the-less we'd love a couples only option it the chatroom list.
Oh and a feature that can be turned off or on that allows for GPS within meters not quarter miles and above. |
