seems to be the videos that are put up now are larger screens and some are smaller the old way.

yes, don't like it prefer the smaller ones, the new ones don't even go full screen when click on it. if enough complain they may change it back.

is it not to do with the format / pixel count they are recorder in.

Most phones now have 8 / 10Mp on phone so larger display to fit?
