better filters for meets and events

Can we have some better filters for browsing meets and events?

At the moment if you're searching the North East for example the search shows everywhere from South Yorkshire to the Scottish boarders.

Could we have a post code search say within 10, 20 , 30 miles of a chosen postcode?

Agree, events get lost amidst all the club adverts, and for those without priori knowledge of club names, the forum search isn't a useful tool to narrow results.
