"Plus we’d all just lie. Fat for some would be put as average for others.
Same as age but it's still an option. Life can't be governed by half empty glasses all the time."
This! I definitely think it would help |

ye some say a size as in curvy but everyones take on that is different.that could mean boobs and ass are shapely but could mean a bigger girl.
maybe better having something like a size chart like 10-14.16-20 |

A size chart would be awful! No way I'd be telling people what size I wear especially when clothing sizes vary so much in different places.
Surely you can get a good enough idea from someone's pics. |

This. My waist is vastly smaller than my chest but it means I wear a larger top size than I would without a big chest, doesn't mean I'm enormous all over. Although tell that to people who guess my bra size as 52GG |

As a BHM (big handsome man) I personally think it would be nice.
If there was a search option, so people who class themselves as the above, they could be found easier, especially for those who like and appreciate the bigger gentleman. |

If anyone can define 'average' or 'curvy' or 'fabulous' accurately and consistently, then I might change my view on there being a need for a body shape filter.
Until then...I'll just go by photos, what I see when I meet someone socially and just let them decide how they want to describe themselves.
Not my place. Not my job. And who am I to decide how someone chooses to describe themselves? |

We could have new some body types that potentially are better than we have currently as well as improving the site, by including searches by body type |

But one person's average is another person's slim or curvy.
One person's curvybis another's 'chubby'.
One person's 'fabulous' is another's 'not'.
Just use the visuals. And if there aren't any....go for a coffee and make up your mind in person.
Your own eyes and perceptions will always be the best judge. |

Ok admin, so if we go by visuals I have to scroll through 100s of profiles listed as curvy to find the odd slim woman who has described herself as curvy due to her curves.
Whereas 90% of 'curvy' on here are larger women with many of those in the BBW category. Lots of men love larger women but I don't and many others Inc women and couples dint either.
The filters need an upgrade big time. |

Firstly I'm not admin. I'm a volunteer forum mod. My views are my own, not the sites.
And secondly....how would any filter help when it would be self defined?
Anyone can class themselves as anything. Whether you think k they've made an accurate choice is down to you, not them.
Exactly the same as any other variable. Age, location, sexuality, preferences.....they're all self defined, not determined by the site or anyone else.
So yes. Using photos to make choices is the most rational and logical choice there is. |

Sorry Mr volunteer mod.
Regardless of whether people categorise themselves rightly or wrongly or however subjective it is, there still should be a choice for us as in a filter.
Atm there is slim, average, curvy and fabulous. Even if they could ne as filters it would help.
Yes by only selecting slim and average I'd miss out on the profiles of women who were slim and curvy who selected curvy as their body type but it'd still save me lots of time.
But instead of slim, average, curvy and fabulous, perhaps it could be
Petite
Slim
Slim with curves
Average
Average with curves
BBW
Scrap fabulous altogether.
Height filters would also be a great addition. |

I do agree that our eyes are the best way.
But to find people, especially when wanting to find some men, out of the very large number of them here, being able to search and filter from them, is near essential, before starting to look at them. I'm used to searching and filtering by body type, which is fairly standard elsewhere.
The hard graft is narrowing down the large group of potential mates. If fab can reduce that effort, it would be fantastic |

All opinions are valid.
But when any details input are self defined, there's no better filter than your own eyes and judgement.
If people suddenly found themselves filtered out because of a body shape filter, how long do you think it would take them to change the details on their profile? |

"Don't know if this has been suggested before, but why no body type filter in the search functionality? seems pretty obvious to me."
If you are searching couples then maybe they are too different body types.
Could be an issue. |

Surely it would be a FILTER. You would still make a selección based on profile / pics. I could see this being very useful to those that receive many messages! Not me unfortunately! Also useful for searches. |

Our filter is close up genital and indiscernible pics.. No body or profile preference shaming, we've just found when we have engaged in a 'maybe' chat they've been unattractive to us. |

It's always a difficulty for me because I'm petite, slim but also curvy but there's nothing in between to choose for body type.
I wrote a description of my body size/shape in my bio to be more accurate xx |
