Following on from the topic in the other thread, this is purely a vote on the topic.
Would you like the message subject feature to be returned?
Please say YES or NO only. Do NOT post comments here, save it for the main thread. Admin hopefully should then see what the outcome of our opinions are. |

I've posted above I'd like the header re-instating
In the world of fab it ain't a democracy owners fabmin make the decisions we all have a choice with those decisions continue with the new forrmat, stay and possibly in protest not pay, or leave
While I like the header will I choose the latter, I've left before,not for a site (imo)a downgrade
My guess the vote(s) will fall on deaf ears |

It would be better if they suggested the reason explained why they removed it.. speed of messaging I really don't buy that. |

Then click the image on the left it doesn't open the message and takes you straight to the profile |

A lot of people ask for a keyword to be put in the subject to show you have read their profile. I guess that's gone now. Doesn't bother me, but I still preferred it the way it was, so I'm a YES |

Last week when it was introduced I would have said I was not sure. However after using it for these few days I think I like it better.
The reasons are probably different than others but for me, I now don't get strings of mails with the same header that was in the first mail that has not been changed for the next mail....so I am not confused as to what people are talking about. I get a lot of mails that people send from forum threads and if I had not been reading the forum then that was confusing too as the header would mean nothing to me. The way it is now I know the mails are coming from a thread by the little message that is generated in the mail
I also don't click on the wrong bit constantly to open the mail which I used to do before.
So it is a no for me in answer to the OP. |

I vote yes for not having the subject bar!! It used to drive me mad before as I found it hard to think of something to put into the subject bar!!
Even when replying privately to a forum post, it says the name of the thread on the first line of the message so all good!! We'll get used to it in time, just be patient and try to be positive about it!! Nobody likes change but this change is good in my humble opinion (imho)!! |
