It may well have been covered here before but isn't it odd that images people place in a private gallery (coz they obviously want them to be seen by friends only) get a public outing when fabbed so often they make it on to the Hot Photo list to be viewed by everyone?

The Hot Photos page only shows pubic photos so what you're saying ain't right

The only photos that show in the "Top Public Photos" page are public photos.
The only people who can Fab your friend only photos are friends.
If someone changes privacy from private to public (so it re-shows) or from public to friends-only or private it can take up to 5 minutes for the top photos page to update.

I am almost certain we made them private immediately. Looking at the dates of the fabs, I am even more certain they were fabbed not immediately afterwards. |

If it is that should be adjusted as surely if you upload a face pic to your private gallery it shouldn't be viewable to anyone unless you attach it to mail x |

This isn't correct. All photos are private on upload untill the user sets the privacy themselves.

They are not automatically hidden, it just stops your profile showing on searches + online now lists. Set the pics to private to hide them too
(We intend to change how it works to also hide photos)

They are not automatically hidden, it just stops your profile showing on searches + online now lists. Set the pics to private to hide them too

This is not the same on the mobile version. I have just tried it. The default setting is public.
However, there is an option to change it. |

The default option is public but until you choose that setting the photo is private.

It's good to know pics are not automatically public. I have a feeling in our case some of our private pics were seen, as a I can't see how else they were fabbed. But I assume, from what admin have said, that was a technical glitch and wouldn't generally happen. |

the best way is to make your pics pvt and send them via message to people you are chatting with i have pics on my add that no one can see unless i attach them in a message. i posted pics for friends only once and they ended up on the new pic thread |
