Age Exclusions?

I can understand why some people prefer certain age ranges to meet, but why are members allowed to block access via winks, friend invites, messages etc just because they have indicated a specific preference in their profile?? Sometimes that entry may have been a mistake? To illustrate I tried to conatct a couple looking for "mature" couples, and specifically saying no one below 50 need apply. However I am over 70 and fit but cannot even wink at them because their profile indicates a lower top age!!! However I am constantly receiving contact from persons below my lower age of 55. What is going on please!!!

People should be allowed to block whatever they like

Have you blocked those outside of your age range from contacting you in your account settings?

If you have, could perhaps be people changing their age just to contact you? x

If you look on your profile message settings you can choose to block contact outside your preferences.

Some people do it to stop the chancers "trying their hand". Say someone has a preference for single men aged 18 - 25, I can gaurantee they would get messages from people outside that range asking if they have ever thought about trying someone different.

my age pref is 38-48 but rarely get any msgs from guys within that. I would put filters on but then I'd have no msgs at all lol plus as i use chatroom a lot i do make friends with people outside my range.
