Could we have something where any requests for enhancments to the website can be voted on by paid members.
Allowing us as the users of this website to prioritise any future developments and to track those enhancements. |

"This section of the forum is for exactly that. Site feedback and suggestions.
Admin do read all suggestions.
There won't be any voting though. "
Oh I realise this section is for raising requests for enhancments. But is there any real monitoring of what people want. The ability to vote up requests will make it more visible.
It's a practice that's used throughout the Internet industry and it provides a feeling of ownership to the users.
OK the pink shaded glasses are now off |

There is monitoring, yes.
But bear in mind the site is free to use. Subscriptions for additional services are optional. Not everyone pays and the site has always had to facility to use it for free.
Any enhancements or new features cost so that will always be a consideration.
In the site FAQ's you'll find this re any contact with admin.
"We do this for fun and get hundreds of mails a day so we can't respond personally to questions about the site or your account. We recommend if you have a problem or can't figure out how something works, you post to the site help forum. If we responded to everything that people sent us, we'd spend all our time (and more!) doing that and not improving/running/fixing the site. Or, we'd have to employ customer service goons to read and respond to questions from a minority of users at everyone's expense and we'd not be able to do as much as we can for so little cost to you. We do read all mail you send and encourage feedback. If you have reported a problem with the site we will fix it."
Here's a link for any suggestions to be sent to admin.

"Hi, can I just check something please. Is the Push notification function still not working? Every time I try it, it never works "
It's probably best to open a new thread, for it to get the attention it deserves |

A few months ago someone with programming knowledge posted a very detailed and interesting post explaining why there can’t be many updates without completely rewriting the code (all beyond me). So I think to be fair to the owners they are limited in what they can do without a complete redesign of the site. Saying that people do often ask for basic things such as a Gran Canaria thread and it never happens. Maybe there’s not enough demand to warrant making the changes |

Ah right. Yes that sounds about right. Judging from the look and feel of the site. It's no doubt written in and still running on an old framework. |
