Bdsm site request suggestion

A fab kink would be good fun, the other site has its plus points but this site has a lot more interaction and meet orientated, I'm sure the nature of kink and specialist events means it's much more difficult to arrange high quality fun at a venue suitable. Many organised events are fun and well attended, but a forum for the darker side would be well recieved I'm sure. |

There’s no need for yet another site when you can just add your preferences to this one, just a BDSM thread on the Forums would be enough.
We use both this and the other, the big advantage is that the kink site is international, just by changing our location we can find out what events are happening locally wherever we are.
As such we’ve been to events and met kinksters in France, Germany, Holland, Ireland and Toronto.
Fab is good because it’s Anglo centric but it would be too restricting just to have a Fabkinkster! |

It's not designed for hook-ups. But it's more about the community and meeting people with similar kinks online.

We were discussing this on Sunday night with a play partner - specially the removal/rejection of certain pics from fab, which we know have been accepted on the other site.
We would describe ourselves as kinksters who play rather than swingers, but found the other site too opaque and cliquey, which is how we ended up here.
Can understand why pictures are rejected due to badly thought out laws, but a BDSM forum where we could have conversations with like minded folks would be a great way forward. |

Fab tolerances are pretty tame, and I like it as it is.(I'm on the other site too)
Things can get quite dark over on the other side, and I wouldn't like the job of policing dubious content.
The site owners could be held liable for allowing such things to be posted here.

I think it was over 6 years ago I and others asked for a kink forum, and got good numbers in support. Nothing happened. We tried a year later and got the same response. The same occurs everytime someone advocates it, nothing.
When trying to give BDSM advice you can't link Vordormortlife as you get a ban. Before the phrase kink shaming became popular, kink shaming was rife. You got a ban for challenging it.
Fab is absurdly paranoid about kink advice and commentary. There is a fear of advocating violence or someone admitting an offence and Fab being dragged into court.
The other problem about a kink forum is that the forum won't get used for advice but would be full of attempted hookups, because we all know kink is all about sex!
Personally, I like the other site, but I am antisocial and my kink is not inherently sexual. I rarely want to contact people I have not met in real life. I don't want to get off with other people under the banner of being into BDSM. I have met my "tribe" in the UK rope scene, but mainly the London rope scene. Vordormortlife has play events, detalils of workshops, seriously educational threads and I can contact people I have met. All of which suits me.
To be fair to Fab and swinging I have met and played with serious kinkster on Fab or through swinging and I have corrupted newbies similarly.
Also, I am always impressed by how knowledgeable and sensible the serious kinksters are on Fab and in swinging.
I wish you luck with the endeavour, you have my support, but I suspect it will only happen after Hell freezes over, and I will still prefer Planet Vordamort. |

There is a huge difference between BandD&SandM but as FAB is ultra kink adverse it is bizarre that the only listing or search is for SM So I think BDSM is never going to happen on this site But a Kink forum and category search is what to press for Also a filter to exclude M or only show M in meets etc would save so much time as well as those who post meets looking for M and then block mail from M

Yes agree on much of above. There are a lot of "kink" people on here with various BDSM interests and many meet. I don't think there needs to be a separate site but some small changes could make the site more kink friendly.
As you say more options for expressing interests and searches would be a big start. Just having SM is ridiculous really and lots of people interested in some aspect of BDSM are not interested in SM - people forget the is about pain. Saying that in the "kink" sphere there is also watersports, spanking, blindfolds. It could end up being a huge list but definitely a few basic things that could be added. As a bare minimum I think people should be able to describe themselves as Sub or Dom and be able to search that and probably also expressed an interest in Bondage. There are lot out there like Bondage but no interest in SM aspects.

while I would like the idea of a "kink fab" doubt it would ever happen, I have asked one or 2 mods in the chat rooms about a BDSM cam room and they asked me to search "Operation Spanner"/"the Spanner case" or "R v Brown"
my wife's impact pictures were removed "too rude for this site" but the above court case was more likely the reason |

Definitely the other site is great for content but difficult to actually find or meet people .
Informed Consent back in the day was amazing for actually finding likeminded individuals.
So a dedicated site or subsection (pun intended) would be great . |

Agrees as well when was a couple we enjoyed specific Sundays at Partners and other events, but dare to utter a word on Fab my partner got banned 5x from forums.
Resulted in having to create a new profile. We meet many like us at clubs who enjoyed also the social side of k nk. |

While it's a great idea that appeals to me there's so many aspects to kink that become a consent issue and things classed as illegal due to the current laws the mods would be constantly having to remove comments. Half the words used in BDSM are banned on the site. I doubt the site would entertain it |

the Kink site i use, does what we need it to do. There is already a newer one which is still not as it should.
Not aure i would want a fabkink site though. there are so many differences between the two.
i would make a lot of changes on this site though |

I would welcome a few additions to make things more kink friendly. I like the idea of additional search options but as others have said there are a lot of banned words so would be difficult on here. I too have had images removed which were maybe more kink orientated. We all have kinks and most of us find a way to make out interests known in the bio text one way or another  |
