New type of verification

We need the ability to also "verify" No-Shows and Ghosters! Several times we've made plans (through fabswingers, all documented) and the party agreed to the arrangements. Then after spending time and money for travel and hotels/Airbnb's, they don't show up and stop communicating. We should be able to "Mark" them as a time waster Same as those who you message and suddenly stop replying, after several days on line if they refuse to reply, they should be "flagged" with a ghost symbol. |

Noone ever has to reply if they stop talking its for a reason just move, on as far saying no show this will be open to abuse, i could turn somone down and out of badness they could mark me as a no show
The joys of meeting strangers online if you keep getting them maybe change the way you vet ur potential meets maybe only meet at clubs etc |

Maybe a hidden report button would be a better option.
This would negative comments to be kept private and seen only by the admin, who can then give a public yellow card if there is a pattern from various sources |

Again unless admin was actually on this meet it would be one persons word against another |

Does this happen to you often OP? Perhaps need to reconsider your approach on meeting people if so. As for the chatting and going silent, it happens. Perhaps you said something to put them off. Perhaps something happened in their life.
As for the proposed changes yep way to easy to be abused as no proof as to what might have happened regarding a meeting that did or didn't take place. The ghost mark idea is a bit ridiculous to be honest. So one halted conversation and you get a mark against your name. Come on - it sounds like primary school. |

Change YOUR tactics.
1. You're not entitled to people messaging you. If they stop after communicating for awhile, it's probably for a reason. Maybe their life got busy, maybe you put them off, maybe it just naturally fizzled out because you're not that compatible. Doesn't really matter the reason, they are within their rights to not continue talking to strangers online.
2. Ghosted meets. Yeah, agree, they're extremely frustrating. We've had many no shows in the past. We don't pay for accommodation because of that, never have done as it's always seemed far too risky unless they're paying half. We've swapped to club meets only, means if someone doesn't show up, it's not a wasted evening.
I get clubs aren't for everyone but you'd still be better off planning an evening with the meet being a bonus if it happens. So plan a meal, cinema trip, drive out to a new pub or something. With the view of just enjoying yourselves and if the meet arrives, fantastic, if not, nothing is lost.
Opening up being able to mark people as ghosted, no shows etc will just open the flood gates for people who feel rejected to take advantage of it seek revenge.

That's a ridiculous suggestion.
You come across as very entitled by saying "if they refuse to reply" You do realise that this is not a paid for chat service don't you?

Whole idea is open to abuse, some one turns you down, you verify them as timewasters!!!!! aint gonna happen thank goodness. 15 years on Fab only had 2 no shows and both of them were early on in our time here  |

*If you message people and don't receive a reply, most likely they're not interested, various reasons, could be anything from location, especially lack of a profile, etc.
