Wish that we could comment on photos and videos. I don’t particularly wanna be a troll or anything of the sort. However - be nice to share my opinions and appreciation. And reading other’s instant reactions/opinions in a little comment section would be cool.. don’t you agree? Anyone caught being nasty or overly coarse could be simply banned I guess.

Please feel free to tell me why it’s a bad idea. I mean it must’ve been already contemplated by the sites owners, administrators etc. It’s a shame people in general can’t all be trusted to play nice.

It'd be a way to get around message blocks

Nastiness wouldn't be banned quickly enough

This isn't Instagram

There are a lot of IT overheads associated with some facilities, the first time Twitter was made it was super hard, now creation of a Twitter clone can be part of an assignment for a student. The problem is scaling it up, once you add the ability to comment on images the hosting requirements escalate and the moderation. Costs and time probably make it prohibitive.

I'm on another site where people can comment. Constant rounds of "I'd love to come all over your tits love" and "I'd jackhammer you all night".

And the comments on the women's photos are even worse!

It would be so open to abusive comments. And as already said, I assume would stop people uploading pics!

If it couldn't be turned off then it'd definitely stop people uploading pictures

"I used to be on a site where people could. So much hate "

And also the 22 year olds begging for a chance "message me please!".

Adding comments to photos is trivial from an infrastructure/resource overhead perspective. Or it should be.

The downside is, as others have said, the potential for abuse. But better, more finely grained filtering and blocking would fix that.

For instance, only allow friends to comment.

None of the faults with this site are hard to solve.

urgh yes. "I'm only a week outside your filters!"

I don't care. If you think my filters are negotiable then that tells me why I won't be breaking them for you

Agreed, but moderation is hard enough with photo upload to start with and the forums, just not enough people.
