Filter by Body Type…
Jump to: Newest in thread
I can't find the thread now but this was discussed at length within the last couple of weeks. It's not controversial - personally I don't need it but there were lots of people who would like it and no strong objections. Similar topic has come up a number of time before if you use the Forum search function. |

"I can’t see it working. Simply because one person’s “athletic” is another person’s “large” and so on.
It’s already being misused, many will be bypassing the filters, as they do now."
Agreed, sometimes somebody can be both athletic and large, for example in the case of a strongman type build! But have definitely seen some deliberate misuses lol |

I don't think OP is referring to filters for who can message you. I think he is talking about filtering in your own searches.
For example if you want to search for people who are "athletic" or "average" rather than "curvy" or vice-versa. At present you can filter searches on some things (eg, interests) but not body type. |

Right, makes sense then.
I don’t search so I was referring to messages filters indeed, which I still stand by as body type is very subjective, unless we employ a Fab doctor who would happily assess based on BMI or such |

Yes must admit I wouldn't search on body type. I find searching on interests more useful. .
lol on Fab doctor doing checks. Quick visual inspection perhaps I agree sometimes very subjective. Dadbod seems to cover a very wide range from being over 40 with no abs on show to full on man curvy, not that Dadbod is a Fab option of course |

A BMI of 40 can get you a gymbod with big muscles or soft, luscious curves. It tells you absolutely nothing other than your weight to height ratio.
But. Yes. I’d also very much like to see BBW listed as an interest I could search by. |

I totally agree with BMI, it’s outdated and does more harm than good and I detest it with passion yet I can’t believe it’s commonly used by general health practitioners. |

There should be tick boxes for what you are looking with a lot more categories.
Then you can get a match based on percentage of how close the person is to the things you have selected on what you chose.
A percentage could be added to the top of the profile like the green tick is for verified profiles. |

To me that be hard work.
I do not agree filters on bodies is right. Just scroll past if they are not for you. Filter done.
Or as you say putting types of body into filter page not sure admin have time to sift through. For then to put into slim athletic curvy etc.
Just saying.

Admin don't need to do anything as people have identified there own type. Don't see the problem is people want to search using that. Why is that not right? If you don't want to use this then you wouldn't need to. |
