I hid my profile for a few days (its now showing) but I received a message from someone I have never spoken to before. He said I still showed up on his whos online/nearby list.
I know I posted in forums, but surely if you hide your profile only friends or previous people you may have spoken to should be able to message.?
Has there been a bug with hiding profiles?
Or are admin willing to remove or give an option of receiving mails?
Would appreciate if anyone else has had a same thing recently when in hiding. |

I think there are still bugs in that who's nearby feature. It seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes if I filter it by preferences, all the women disappear ! Which is quite worrying  |

Im back in hiding, but have never gone near the mobile bit of who's near (and it would have had to have been 40 minute mile if he was right), so poss a big bug.
You just not chasing the ladies away with all the bromances  |

You can still message them if you access the hidden profile. But the profile shouldn't appear in any searches. The mobile near me feature is effectively a 'search' |

It's the mobile near me search she means Ruggers. Not the standard one. That is where the chap saw her.
Hels maybe you have to disable that as well when you hide your profile. |

Sorry meant the standard site. He was on normal so its not a mobile web problem. It was normal search.
I've never used the mobile near thing so it wasn't that as its always switched off and it doesnt allow anyway if profile is hidden.
Just dont see why there is a message functiin available to non friends when your profile is hidden.
Will have a mess with the filters instead.

Sorry I wasnt very clear.
I guess what Im trying to say is can admin try and update the screen where messages are unable to be sent unless you are friends with that person?
Rather than having to mess about with filters?
