Can't text or verify someone even after they verified you

If someone has blocked members or couples of a certain sex you're not allowed to text or wink at them - which is fair enough. As soon as they wink at you or send you a message, this restriction is lifted.

However the restriction persists if they verify you, which puts us in an awkward position of not being able to message or even give a verification back to a very nice couple we met at an event last weekend.

Can this pretty please be changed?

Oh, and one of the most annoying things about this is that it says your verification is saved but it just vanishes into the void in this case without telling you what's going on.

Could you ask someone to message them, asking them to message you? Not ideal but maybe a way around it.

Yeah but that's not a long term solution. This issue keeps happening (also the other way around since we have blocked single guys) as we often attend events.

They have generally blocked all MF couples and solo men. We met at the event and talked to each other in person before having any contact on fab. After the event they verified us but we still couldn't make contact with them nor give them a verification back.

They will know why you cant, I'd no worry about it. Or perhaps they'll see this post an if they want to, they may contact you.

While this immediate situation is resolved, we don't think many people are aware of how exactly the blocking restrictions work. We would feel more at ease if this was more transparent and the block would be lifted if you verify someone.
