Fabswingers.com, time for a site refresh?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hi,
I just wanted to know whether there are any plans to update the design of Fabswingers.com? The functionality of the site is fine, but (I mean no disrespect) the design hasn't changed in many years and it shows. I'd encourage the site owners to have a look at the 'Pure' app for a bit of inspiration as to what this site could be.
Thanks. |

Been in dire need of a revamp for a long time. Lots of outdated rules that other platforms embrace, the layout and image of the site is very dated. With all these news sites coming along it wouldn't be a bad shout to freshen things up.
The site is functional, but wide open to fake profiles and spammers. Come on guys, up your game and move with the times eh ? |

"But the ones complaining are still here, just saying
Not complaining, just giving feedback. We're on plenty of other sites and the feedback has always been well received. "

I'd prefer energy was invested in some fairly basic features, than the same, in a different package. Largely, if we could search upon more/all of the fields that we enter data into, would be a fantastic game changer. Eg searches including height, body build, etc. |

It's odd that so many say the site is outdated, lacks functionality and there are far better options out there....yet they're still here. And if improvements are so simple and easy why has nobody else created their own site or app?
Many rival sites have been attempted. Few remain and none are as popular as Fab.
Maybe there's actually little wrong with it at all and it offers all that's needed to enjoy a happy swinging life, if the tools and functions it offers are used efficiently and effectively?

Fab lives on despite the outdated design AND functionality. I care more about the function than the form, but I don't believe there's any interest in updating it (by the owners)... |

I think the basic format is ok.
It doesn't matter what is changed, unless people put effort in profiles, are honest in their dealings, no amount of bells and whistles are going to improve chances of getting a meet.
If you are lucky enough to be not male, I can understand why you might want more filters etc, but for us blokes would it make a difference?
Minimum word count on profiles?
people will just type hdhdhhhdhhhxwkjweudbrbshdh to get the letter count up.
Photo verification won't stop people using fab to fill the wank bank.
30,000 people on average online isn't a bad haul. replicating other apps might lose some of fabs charm. |

I agree that the the site is fine generally and does what it says on the tin. But it is very clunky in terms of menu design and could really do with an update in terms of the graphic design of the site. It really has a 'dial up modem' feel to it imo. Also agree with the point that a Fab swingers app would be most welcome. |

Is the motivation behind any desire for change just about the aesthetic look and feel of the site or the notion that changes will improve people's odds of meeting?
Because the former won't affect the latter one bit and most won't care how it looks if they're getting meets.

That's a fair point. Maybe I'm just an aesthetics man lol! |
