Wouldn't it be an idea to send a rules and regulations email to everyone that signs up to the site?
New members already get an automatic welcome message, so it wouldn't be very hard to include the rules into that message, and that way everyone is guaranteed to know what the sites rules are. |

Or a regular generated email sent out every quarter to all members |

"Sadly, you would still have to rely on people reading them "
But as lots if people are using mobiles to access the site, the forum rules don't actually come up when posting on threads when using a mobile phone, just thought an automotive email would ensure that all users would be aware of the rules. |

This is true but at least there would be no excuses.
Surely admin must get fed up with the number of people asking why they have been banned as well? |

Can set email up to have a read and understood box that has to be checked and sent. That way if someone breaks rules and claims not knowing rules admin can state you signed rules on date . It could also be set up that you can't progressing site ie messages, forums, chat until message has been acknowledged.
Until then, if users are mobile based, how can they be penalised if rules aren't available like they are when using site on pic/laptop.
Another option for mobile users is a link tab on homepage that takes you straight to site rules |

I don't use the phone to access the forum so didn't know about the rule bit until Ryan pointed it out....but I am just pointing out the obvious tbh...wherever the rules are not everyone will read them.

Not sure Ryan, you would obviously have to ask them that one
Sadly though, no matter where the rules are and what they say, you will always have people complaining if they were banned.
Some people just don't bother reading them and some people disregard them as they think they are immune.
I am sure when Admin get the time they will include them in the phone section though. |

Did you notice them before your laptop died?"
I've only been coming in forums since then. I can't get into chat on my blackberry so decided to try out the forums instead x |
