Profile changed, by Fab from TS/TV to Man

My profile has ALWAYS been TS/TV cause I’m queer as fuck, genderless and happy with it.

Fab has changed my profile to “Man” - without me asking for the change, or even giving me any notification that it was being done??

Why would this just happen out of the blue like this? It’s absolutely transphobic in the extreme.

It's a difficult one.

On one hand, I get that you feel like you should be able to identify yourself as you choose.

But at the same time, you are not transgender, and there appears to be no evidence that you are a transvestite or a crossdresser.

You appear to be just a bloke that sucks cock.

It's not just about you, it's also about how the search functionality and categorizations are working for other people.

There are people using the site who are specifically looking for either transgender women/men, or TVs and CDs, and you're going to be constantly popping up in their search results.

It could be that other people have reported your profile as not being what is advertised, and Fab has decided to show leniency and (correctly) rebrand your profile to a man.

This response is absolutely hilarious. You are literally admitting to be a bloke in a shite wig, whereas I’m making it clear I’m genderless, which is not the fucking same as “being a bloke”.

It literally shouldn’t be allowed, even here on fab where it’s not possible to contact anyone who works here, for a website to change the GENDER on your profile without your knowledge.

Why is this acceptable? My experience on fab has completely changed in an instant for NO reason.

I do what I do, I’m not out here claiming to be a cross dresser because I AM NOT ONE. But TS/TV is the option closest to my reality - I’m fucking genderless/nonbinary - but the archaic options of fab don’t allow for that.

I’ve sent feedback through fab’s normal processes, if nothing happens within a couple of days, going to write a letter directly to the owners of the website.

If there are 35 default options and you don't identify as any of them there's not much that can be done.

By your own admission you've chosen an option, TS/TV, that your not.

So why would Fab change it back?

If the self identifying option you want isn't there, you could add all that information in your biog.

I’ve also had my profile for 10 years, and I DO explain myself in my profile. So you’re not telling me anything new at all. I want whatever option is not man, and not woman. And this is the only one that is there.

You've answered your own question.

There are 3 default options. You're not one of them, so by default you must be one of the other available 2.

Please don’t feel the need to keep commenting.

I know what I’m about, I have been a member for 10 years and seldom ever have any issues whatsoever. I meet up with the men I like and that’s it. Nothing else.

I literally want to be left alone, I don’t even want to be here in this forum that I don’t normally use.

Just want to use the site as I always have, my experience has completely changed for no reason whatsoever.

“TS/TV” in itself is an utter contradiction, a “transsexual” is an outdated term for a transgender person. A “transvestite” (at least on this site) refers to a male cross-dresser, also know as a man in a wig. Even the people looking for TS/TV profiles are not looking for the same one thing, it varies wildly.

What’s happening to me here is shedding light on the wider issue - the gender selection js archaic, reductive and completely restrictive.
