Make filters both ways

Been here on and off since 2009 and one thing that has really annoyed me is the filtering system as I get older I drop of the top of many age ranges, this in itself is reasonable but that being the case filter both ways. If someone's filter says no men. Age range top is 70, etc don't show my profile to them. There is nothing more annoying that someone checking you out that you can't message! I have been a site supporter to hopefully pay for improvements but that doesn't seem to happen. Am I alone or do other members agree ? |

Seems to me you could set up a profile not looking for anyone , age range 99 to 99 and not engage in the site at all just perve.
Unfortunately not seen any evidence that any of this is read by fan staff or developers |

"There is a tickbox for "only intrested in meeting me" or words to a similar effect on the advanced search section. I don't know if that's close to what you are looking for??"
That's good to make sure I don't see anyone that doesn't see me. What I want is the other way around. If they don't want males or older people the app would never let them see me.
But thanks for the interest, I'll now check you out lol |

What if someone looking at your profile decided to contact you even though you're outside the usual age range/gender they're looking for? Wouldn't you be missing out?
E.g. 18 year old looking for men 50 to 70... Wouldn't see you, but would have contacted you anyway because you're such a nice guy despite your age... |

"If they want to contact older change their range , simple"
Or, they can make a special exception just for you because you're such a nice person, and don't want to be inundated with messages from dick heads that they USUALLY have no interest in.

Some users limit their filters so not to get too many messages. But rather do the searching themselves.
Not sure why it is an issue if someone peeks and their own filters make it unable for you to message them.
Someone may look that has filters set that you could message. That doesn't always mean they want a message. They could of looked and decided you wasn't for them.
Don't know why some folk get hooked on the looked at me page. If someone has looked. Surely they would message if interested. |

You can't see someone's age without going into the profile.
Doesn't mean everyone who looks at you has any interest in you. Could be something you say on the forum or if you've verified a person they may be checking that person's veris to see the type of person they meet. Again this doesn't mean they are interested in you.
My advice. Ignore who looks at you problem solved |

You should not have to look at profiles, the app should check for you and not let you see profiles outside your filters |

Esgob anwyl hogyn !!!
WTF is the point in a bio then? It would be the bio that inspires someone to venture out of their usual preference...
Would you like the app to message people for you too?
Maybe even arrange the meetings automatically??
I hide who I've looked at. - because I have a habit of looking at profiles over and over.
A, I often forget I've made/attempted contact before
2, People sometimes change their preference.
iii, I have a terrible memory and often forget if I've contacted them before.
Pedwar, I have a terrible memory and I forget what peoples preferences are, so I have another peek.
But because of this nasty habit, I have been called a pervy stalker... So, I hide who I look at.
But I always TRY to treat people with the respect they deserve |

What?
You want the site to decide who you should be seeing? No. Just no.
Aside from many issues with your idea - some don't set age filters at all because they'll gladly chat with anyone but won't fuck everyone, people who view in 'stealth mode' so you don't even know ow they've looked, the fact people fib about ages, the fact that age isn't the only attribute people make decisions on....the list is huge.
It's simple. Stop looking at who's viewed you. If they've looked and not contacted you they're not interested, so you being able/unable to message them is irrelevant.
If you're browsing yourself do what many others do and use the advanced search options. That way you can select your desired age range and also tick a box to say you must fit theirs.
It really is that simple.
And to the guy further up who said that it's not fair that they can view you but you can't view them? The only time you can't view a profile is if you're blocked. Filters only stop message contact not views. Anyone can look at anyone even if their outside of age, gender, or any other message filter.

"I agree with this 100%. They can view me but I can't view back.If someone has no intention of meeting me through my age or gender they shouldn't be allowed to look at me "
How do they know if they want to meet if they can't see you?
And see my response above. Anyone can view anyone unless blocked.

There are elements of your post which I would agree with. However, there are other elements I don't. The sentence above is one.
Recieving a message from someone just because you've viewed their profile (or commented on their forum post) is far more annoying than not being able to message someone whose requirements you do not fit.
Our search parameters are often slightly outside what we're looking for. This is because a 53 year old guy could have we're looking for, but his 46 year old peer doesn't. We won't know until we view their profiles. *IF* we were interested in the 53 year old, we would message him. Otherwise, we would skip his profile and move on. Usually a reciprocal message from the guy would usually be to establish interest. The lack of initial message from us suggests he is not. |

It's not a baby sitting service.
If someone looked at your profile but didn't message it means they're not interested.
Many people want to meet people, not just some willing wet hole.
Good luck. |

In always amused by the number of guys who show on who's viewed who are "straight, not looking for single guys no sirree, not me"
Or only looking for under 40s
Is my avatar that unclear that I look like a woman in her 30s ?

"Well I just had a photo fabbed by someone who is blocking everyone of my gender. Go figure"
Maybe they just liked your photo? A fab doesn't necessarily mean they want to fuck you. I fab couples photos even though I'm not looking to meet couples.
