Can I still message existing connections from a hidden profile?

I'm already connected with a few lovely people on fab and not really interested in meeting others right now, so I'm considering hiding my profile.
A couple of people I know can only chat via fab (cos reasons... ). If I hide my profile, will we still be able to use the platform to continue our existing chat conversations? |

Do you mean if they aren't on your friends list or hotlist? That's the only instance I can think of because you wouldn't be able to find each other, but that's not the impression I got from the op. |

"Yeah you can still message friends and others. If you're on someone's hotlist they can also message you too."
Anyone can message you at anytime if there are no filters on.
OP is best off just using the filters to stop mail from anyone they don't want |

You can message them if you see them on the forum or from updates or searches or of you have them on ur hotlist |

If your profile is hidden you don't come up in searches, there would be no point in having that option otherwise.

You don't need to have an existing message. The mail box is still accessible whether a profile is hidden or not. |
