How about a section (maybe in the forums) where people can introduce friends to others. I'm thinking along the lines of a couple who know a single or singles with friends etc. Yes I know that is sort of the point of the site but it is so hard to break the ice and I just thought an 'introduction' by another member may smooth the path a little. |

We have already met people who are friends of others on the site! They usually just drop us a line saying that they know a person(username provided) and tell us a little about themselves, we can check them out by asking our friend..and take it from there.
We have also had friends give us the usenames of others they think we might like to meet.. we take a look..and if we like them we message them.
Works very successfully.
Problem people putting things on open forums is you will just get bombarded with loads of people messaging you. |
