Feature Request - No thanks button

I think a "No thanks" button on a message would be very useful.
It gives the recipient a quick and easy way to send a pre-set reply with minimal effort.
It could also initiate a "soft block". Any further messages from the same sender get put into a special message folder where they aren't cluttering up the main feed but can still be read if required. |

Or it means you haven’t had time to reply.
A quick and easy option like this would help ladies empty their in boxes quicker, whilst taking out the guess work from guys.
If I got a no thanks, I’d block the sender to stop wasting everyone’s time. |

Nah take it from a lady, if we done reply it means we arent interested, if i dont have time to chat etc il message saying so, so the person knows im up for chatting |

By replying you will then forever override any new filters that person sets which is why no reply means no thanks |

"'No thanks' normally ushers in replies such as 'why not', 'you don't even now me yet lol', 'what are you looking for then' or outright abuse.
No reply already means no thanks. "
Don't forget the 'give me a go' or 'you haven't even tried me yet' responses  |

Why do men think they are entitled to a reply on Fab?
There is no such thing as a "soft block"

Make it a standard block then. That actually works better I guess.
The soft block was just stuff I was thinking regarding being able to manage messages better. I totally appreciate the deluge that ladies get as well as the reasons for not replying. Just thought having a button there is one tap to get rid of the message, prevent further messages, and also make sure the sender knew. Don’t see the harm in that.
You could always just ignore and not press it too which is the the same as we have now. |

Why would you want to write a long message? That's the last thing we want, ive no time to sit and read paragraphs of messages short and snappy with just enough to get our attention |

Just an observation for all those saying “no reply means no thanks”…
I’ve had plenty of experience of messaging someone and getting no reply (for whatever reason) and then striking up a conversation - sometimes meeting - following a subsequent message. Maybe someone just isn’t in the mood or doesn’t have the time first time round.
But a simple “no thanks” button would be a clearer indication that they’ve heard what I have to offer and seen my pics, but I’m simply not for them.
I wouldn’t suggest that this option overrides any future filter settings like a standard reply would - but it’s an explicit way of letting a guy know he’s not of interest. |

Just you delete your sent messages then that way you wont know if they have read or deleted and if you get a reply then its al good |

I think the point was that a “read and delete” sends an implicit message back to the sender, without the need for a reply.
If you delete (or never look at) your sent messages then that feedback doesn’t happen |

This is all anecdotal. We all use the site in our own way. I’ve spoken to a few (not many) women privately who all use the message system differently.
Some don’t reply immediately but may do later.
Some delete and don’t reply (this is clear).
Some don’t read at all if they don’t like a profile and also don’t delete.
And I’m sure there are other “systems” being used too.
The point is, we are all different. And assuming bigcock69 is going to take hint clearly doesn’t work. A single click to make sure his brain cell gets the message and optionally stops him pestering can’t be a bad thing can it?
My suggestion was just to give an option of an easy way to give clear and explicit feedback with zero effort. I’m genuinely surprised at the hostility lol |

I think a old fashioned reply does the trick, it shows you are grateful for them taking the time to make contact and decent enough to respond.
We always respond even to the 95% who don't read the profile, for most it's thanks for taking the time to contact us but no thanks.
Then block.
Unless it's something like, "How's you tonight" then it's just a block.
