How about a feature that calculates your mileage between you and a possible meet? I am classed as South-East but find a lot more places in South-West that are closer. But the search engine only gives you 1 choice of area.If you live in say Southampton, then Kent would come up as being in your area despite being miles away. Where has Dorset is in the South-West but is only 20 mins down the road. Just a thought.

Can you not convert the 20 mins into, say, 15 miles, and use that as your search criteria?

Do an advanced search which uses proximity, not areas:

Pity you can't do that when searching through meets, events that's still a area based search.

I find advanced search with the 'meet today' box ticked actually brings up more results anyway

Cardiff

We are based in Cardiff and if we do a search in for example a 20 mile radius we get profiles in the West Country listed. But to drive to these would be more like 60 miles!

So before you blame the site try moving away from coastal estuarys first - otherwise use the tools provided and work around the limitations - no system is perfect

Well, exactly! It requires a bit of (local) knowledge or the use of a dedicated piece of software or website. All you can do is make use of any/all of the filters to narrow your search.
