Just had a look at your profile and none of your video thumbnails are black. I have noticed though, that some video thumbnails on some peoples profiles are black  xx |

Okay so how to avoid it happening is make a thumbnail picture.
You’ll have to use a video editor app
Screenshot the thumbnail you want as a photo
Add the photo to the video at the start for a second and then that should be the preview of the video, when you save and upload it to here

I've added videos previously and not had to mess about with adding photos etc and they've always had a picture thumbnail |

I’m not sure why it started happening I had it in the past, so that’s why I started making my own thumbnails |
