What about a negative feedback option particularly for timewasters.
Had set up a meet at a hotel, at my cost, have been texting and getting on really well for a few days.
Get a text 10 mins before the meet to say stuck in traffic. Fair enough. Get a text an hour and a half after we should have met saying I'm tired and cant meet.
This isnt about sour grapes. That is just plain rude. |

This comes up time and time again... and i think there should be a system like ebay whjere negative feedback can be left - but gives the person a chance to comment as well.
Dont know why this hasnt been instigated as it would prevent time wasters to an extent.
If someone left us a negatve comment, then we would get a notification of a veri like the current system. Then be up to us to defend ourselves! |

There are some tips for safe meeting on the faq www.fabswingers.com/faq and one of the key rules is to avoid putting yourself in a situation where if someone doesn't turn up you'll be annoyed our out of pocket:
Do you have any tips for safe meeting?
Don't forget that the only person responsible for your safety is you, so don't put yourself in a situation where a stranger can let you down. These are some tips to help:
* Don't give strangers your home phone number, your usual mobile number or your address or let them know where you work. Buy a spare PAYG SIM for your mobile and use it for initial contacts.
* Don't rely on strangers for transport, so don't agree to go somewhere in a car with someone you don't know.
* Don't turn up to strange addresses without having met the people you're expecting, first, beforehand.
* Always meet first somewhere safe and public (a cafe) first.
* Always tell someone you trust who you're going to meet, and where.
* Don't arrange meets without having spoken to the people you're expecting to meet first on phone OR on seen on cam.
* Don't invite strangers into your home.
* Don't put yourself in a situation where if someone doesn't turn up, you'll be upset. So don't travel 100s of miles and book into a hotel in the expectation of meeting someone unless you've met them beforehand.
Attending an organised social or a swinging club meet is a good place to start.

We find the Webcam and talking on the phone is the best way...even then there are too many "keyboard" fantasists to make that wholly reliable.
Almost a foolproof way is to go to a club, however some fools do get through. |

"Thanks for the comments. Cost me £100 to sit by myself drinking and staying in the hotel. X
Maybe next time consider meeting for a coffee / drink and THEN book a hotel if needed."
I've done this before - went all the way to Cheltenham for a lunch meet, had arranged the time and all, got there 2.45pm and left 3 voicemails: I'm here, .. I'm at pool table (2 hours later), I'm off home else miss last train as was approaching 9pm and I had work the next day.
Finally heard from her 2 hours after I got home saying I should get over it as she did not owe me a meet as was not a contract, and glad she did not meet me if I was going to take it so personally.
Nice eh? |

Lovely. But thinking about it there are twats in all areas of life so why should swinging be any different?
I've just put it down to experience and a lesson learned. |
