In the monkey house

Had a couple of occasions where a person sends an abusive message then blocks. Is there a way of reporting this sort of crap?

Maybe start naming and shaming these dickheads.

I'm pretty sure naming and shaming is against forum rules. I wanted to do that when we were ghosted once, but was advised against it.

You can report via the message they've sent you if you check the boxes and rest as above its against the site rules and it's shallow

Even if they block you you can still report them.

You can also block a couple that has already blocked you.

This is wrong imformation.

Admin deal with all reports.

Sometimes it can take upto 48 hours for them to get to it as there can be many reports per day.

When admin can confirm a report and see rules have been broken, they do act.

Alot of the time. They don't give feedback on any action taken.

But rest assured. They do review all reports and they do act on the ones that can be confirmed.

If they block you, you cannot even see their profile, let alone report the abuse.

Being a site supporter or not makes no difference if you report another user for whatever reason.

As I previously stated. Admin view all reports and take action on those they can validate.

As stated above in this thread also. Naming and shaming is against site rules. So the best course of action is to report and let admin sort it out.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

You can't see their profile but you can still report it will come up with can't view been blocked blah blah but if you look up top click on menu box you get a drop down box you can counter block them and also report

You can by using the menu that's on the screen that says they may have blocked you.
